Tottenham v Arsenal postponed as north London derby joins fixture pile-up squib

  • Arsenal had requested Sunday’s game be put back
  • Mikel Arteta’s side hit by injury, Covid-19 and other absences

Sunday’s north London derby between Tottenham and Arsenal has been postponed after Mikel Arteta’s squad was hit by a swathe of injuries and other absences.

On Friday Arsenal had up to 14 first-teamers potentially unable to take part and they believed the league’s criteria for fulfilling a fixture – that a side can name a matchday squad of 13 outfield players and a goalkeeper – could not be met.
